Maggie Drury, PT, MA

Maggie-headshot.JPG

After graduating from the University of New England in 1989 with a BSPT she joined Bridgeport Hospital doing Acute Care, Rehab, and Outpatient for 6 years. Being a perennial student, Maggie went back to school to get a MA in psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience in 1995.

Maggie enjoyed 2 years of working as a travelling PT accepting assignments in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Texas, Georgia, and Maine. Living around the country made her realize that she wanted to be back in New England. She spent the next 9 years working in a private practice in Wilton, CT, where she was exposed to many types of manual therapies that she had never heard of or seen before. This changed how she looked at her patients in a dramatic way. Working besides master clinicians she could now see possibility and hope where before there was little for the patient. She delved deeper into training integrating these new techniques with specific exercises and traditional PT manual therapies to help treat the whole person. This helps Maggie’s patients meet their potential when others had been unable to help. This exposure has helped her be an outside-the-box thinker to solve more complex pain issues and musculoskeletal issues that don’t always make sense to traditional orthopedic training.
